The cargoes received at Rockhampton during the past three weeks are valued at £100,000. Excepting bulk ales the market is fally stocked. The Chinese merchants at Cooktown are
about to subscribe £1000 towards the organisation and maintenance of a Chinese police for the protection of their countrymen against the attacks of the blackß on the Palmer Kiver.
