WHAU PRESBYTERIAN BAZAAR.

A bazaar, consisting of ornamental, fanciful, and useful articles in aid of trm Presbyterian Church and Manse at the Whan, will be opened to morrow a< the C-ty Ball, and will t>e continuifl until Ftid y evening. We jparn that the district whi<h the hszaar is intended to Wntfit, was for a long time witi - out a settled minister, and that a piece of lftnl was ru'Choserl of s-ome six acres through the liberality of Messrs L.-.mb and Buehauan, and that a grant of £50 and some goods were promised for the manse. As these presents were not adequate to the completion of the general plan, it was decided to hold a bazaar as a pleasant and friendly means of increasing the necessary funds. The ladies, therefore, with that earnestness and zeal which belong to the sisterhood when a holy cause needs assistance, set to work with hearts, thoughts and fingers, with a determination to realise their views in relation to the object, and tomorrow some of the results of their noble labours may be seen in the City Hall. Tomorrow we hope to give a bird's-eye view of the industrial and fanciful collection.
