Opening of the Kaipara Railway.
Over 100 ladies and gentlemen went up to-day in the Gemini. The trip promised to be very pleasant, notwithstanding the lar«e number on board the little craft. The train was to start for Helensville about halfpast one and would convey some 200 passengers, including those from Auckland. .Among the visitors from Auckland we noticed Mr F. B. Passmore, Superintendent of Railways; Mr James Stewart, Government Engineer ; Messrs Davis and Williams, of Brogden and i^ons ; Messrs Errington, Wrigley, arid others.
