Meet of the Pakuranga Hounds.

The Pakuranga Hunt Club met at Mr. S. Moirin's residence, Remuera, at two o'clock to-day. After luncheon had been partaken of at Mr Morrin's house, the party assembled at Mr R. Graham's. There are over fifty vehicles and 400 visitors waiting for the start. The meet thus presents a lively scene, reminding one of old times. 'J here are a large number of ladies present, and many leading citizens. Several ladles intend taking part in the hunt. A man has just started with a drag. • The hunt is now or, and is causing great excitement. There were several spills in jumping the hurdles, but nothing of consequence happened. 4 p.m. Calvert, VS., gets a Spill. Calvert has just falhn with Doctor, one of James Clarke's hoists, while jumping a wall. Calvert rmnowjy escaped. The horse is apparently dove for, as be will not rise. He was a very valuable animal and was entered for the nexc steeplechase.
