The schooner Gem will sail, as soon as the ji weather clears,. for Gisborne via Mercury ii Bay, with 2700 feet timber, i The South Carolina and Maud for Russell, j j the Helen for Omaha, and the Mahurangi 11 for Mahurangi cleared to-day. The South j Carolina brought 41 tons coal from Russell. I The barque Shootine Star was spoken on the Equstor by the ship William Davie. She was then f 65 days out from London. A large number of small crafts are lying- windbound ! A strong westerly breeze has been blowing since j yesterday.
