The Fernglen brings no word of the barque Shooting Star. There is no occasion for surprise at her lengthly passage as she is bat a small vessel, and would be able to matte very little headway against the late easterly weather.
The barque Elm Grove dropped down alongside the Dido this morning to tranship the coals ..she has on board.
The steamer Effort, for Tairua, and the schooner Excelsior, for Russell, have both taken the departure.
The schooner Golden Isle arrived from Russell this morning with a cargo of 100 tons coal for the A.S.F. Company. ,
'i he schooner Clyde and the cuttoi Wangarei arrived at Wangarei last night.
