(Per Press Telegram Agency.) Wednesday. New Farm District.—Grain Average
Hitherto unexplored country north-east of Mount Egmont has just been penetrated a distance of forty miles by a party of surveyors, who report the land excellent in quality and level.
In the Wairoa district the grain averaged fifty bushels per acre, notwithstanding fully twenty bushels were destroyed by caterpillars.
