TE MOANANUI'S RUNANGA.
PER STAR CARRIER PIGEON.
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) OHTNEMURf, Friday morning. Te Moananui called a meeting yesterday, which was largely attended. He requested that the runanga adjourn at once, so that he might attend the meeting. The natives refused to do so until some important business then on hand had been pot through. They subsequently went outside and tried on bounce.
The runanga defended their action on the ground that they were acting for the benefit of the whole, and not a few. They thought that the reserves made were not too large.
After some discussion, it was agreed to let them stand as already fixed.
It was, however, resolved to reduce the number of delegates, and ten names were struck off, by consent of the hapua interested.
