Per Omaha for New Caledonia :—IOO, 000 feet timber, C. A. Harris.—M. Niccol, agent.
WA sail in sight is signalled as we go to press. The barque East Lothian, Captain Norris, arrived in harbour at seven o'clock this morning, after a lengthy passage of sixteen days from Lyttelton. The East Lothian left port on the 11th instant. The Captain reports northerly and westerly winds during the passage. The late Governor's schooner-yacht Blanche was sold by private contract yesterday to Messrs Owen and Graham for L2OOO. This is LIOO less than was offered for her at auction on the previous day. It is said that the vessel has been purchased for Captain Young, of Rarotonga, who was lately in negotiation for the Julius Vogel.
The E,. M. s. s. Mikado left this morning for San Francisco \ia Honolulu. Passengers from Auckland : Sir Jame3 Fergusson, Bart., and servant, Mr. T. Russell, Mrs , Sarah, and Master William Stevenson, Rev. Mr. Myers. From Dunedin : Misses Paul (two), and 25 from Sydney.
The barque Memento arrived at Newcastle on the 18th inst.
The cutter Nancy has unloaded 17,000 feet timber from Waikawau. She has cleared out for the 3ame port.
The brigantine Omaha has cleared for New Caledonia with a cargo of timber shipped by Mr. C. A.. Harris. Captain Meiklejohn expects to sail this evening.
The Cyphrenes is to be the next boat to San Francisco. She is to leave Sydney about the 19th prox., and Auckland about the 24th December,
