SIR GEORGE GREY.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sib, —I see that your unfortunate friend of the Cross is becoming alarmed at Sir George Grey's iatention to ask the electors of Auckland for a seat in the House «f Representatives. I believe that Sir George would supply a want that his been felt by those who have opposed the present Government, in fact, the leading men of the Opposition could afford to drop their personal jealousies and agree to form a party that would be determined to put an end to what was well described last Session as the present personal Government of the colony. Sir George Grey's presence in the House of Representatives would be the " Notice to quit" of a certain class of men. I mean the honest twenty who always voto with the ministry. I think the Editor of the Cross had better think twice befora he commits the paper to oppose Sir George Grey.—l am, &c, Elector.
