AUCKLAND DIVORCE CASE.
WELLINGTON. (Per Press Telegram Agency.) This day.
His Excellency was entertained at a farewell dinner by the members of the Wellington Club on Saturday evening. Sir George Arney and the Puisne Judges were present as guests. The Times again strongly condemns the sale of the foreshore by the Provincial Government.
At the Divorce Court sittings to-day a rule nisi was granted for a divorce, held at the last sitting in A uckland in the case of Carpenter v. Carpenter and another. At the wool sale this morning merino mixed unwashed sold at Is ; another lot unwashed 9£d ; four bales washed sold Is.
