The contractors for the low level have still hard ground, and no appearance of change. _ The Emily is getting good stone from a rise on the leader, well defined, and good size. They expect a crushing at the end of the week. Tlle Bismarck find is an important one The leader is twelve inches wide, showing gold throughout the stone. The Plutus battery is going ahead, and will be finished by the end of the month. Major Keddell has gone to the 1 hames on mining busiuess. The Native Chief resumes work again to morrow. The Kapanga trial crushing yielded'B dwts to the ton.
