CRICKET MATCHES.
Thkre was a good muster of crickeiersis various localities around Auckland on Site, day. As announced by Star cams?* match was carried on at the Domain fjrai, between teams captained by Messrs G&L and Davies respectively. This resulted in victory for Mr Davies' team. At tk s«.me ground the Auckland College and Mount; Roskill Clubs strove for honors, vlen the former was successful by two inns and one wicket to fall. The totals weie:Firsfc innings—College, 43; MountßoskjH 40. Second innings—College, 40; Moint Roskill, 37. The Waverly and Mannta Clubs held iheir maiden match at the Onehnnga reserve. The Waverlys werevictoroil The scores were : Manukau—first inning!, 21 ; second, 42. Waverley-first inning?, 42; second, 24 ; with only two wickets down. The Carlton and Grammar Scot Clubs played a return match in the Domain, when the'Carlton Club beat the Gwm School in one innings with 46 runs. Tk Grammar School Club made 14 runs in U» first innings, and 20 in the second, hth first match they were successful by one*!* but their play yesterday was not at all flp» the mark.
