Th^ following vessels were loading at the mines when the s.s. Rowena left:—Fawn, Golden Isle, and Julia Price.

This includes 160 tons coal on board tbe Golden Crown, which is included among the clearances for Auckland. All her stores have been taken out of her, and her oil is now being landed. Several old whaling skippers are at present in Russell, two of these will be appointed to hold the examination.
