SIR JAMES FEBGUSSON'S FARM IN WAIKATO.
IMPRISONMENT FOB, ASSAULT AT
LYITELTON,
WELLINGTON. (From our special Correspondent.) This day,
"When Sir James Fergusson goes to Auckland he will visit a farm he has in the Waikato.
Subscriptions have been collected within the last few days in aid of the races in December. Already about £600 is subscribed, aDd it ia expected to reach £700 Without difficulty. Several large sweeps We been tilled up, one being for £500, all paid up. The tickets for Madame Goddard's concert to-night were unobtainable early in the fay. A late train ran to the Hutb for the accommodation of residents.
