No such vessel has left this port, and we are at a loss to see the correct reading of the announcement. The schooner Swallow and the p.s. Effort have cleared out in ballast for Tairua. The ship City of Auckland entered inwards at the Customs to-day. The schooner Golden Isle brings 100 tons coal from Russell. We find the following in the Home "Nexos : —Master's Report of the Windward, at London, June 20, from Hobart Town' —On June 22, in 4G N. 12 W, passed a large painted port water-logged J3hip, with three lower masts standing, and fore-topmast, two foretopsail yards aloft, lower yards broken in slings, with decks awash and partly gone; also bulwarks, cabin-house, and poop planking outside. Masts painted stone colour, with black mast-heads and yards ; lower rigging standing. No name to be found. The vessel was in the stream of the Bay of Biscay current.
