NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE COMPANY.
The usual half-yearly meeting *of the NewZealand Insurance Company was held at the offices of the company to-day. The report read is of a very satisfactory character. The amount received during the past half-year, £63,216 18s 7d, is the largest sum yet received for premiums in any half-year, and shews an increase of £11,495 13s 2d on the corresponding half-year of 1873, and an Increase of £18,790 on the half-year ending 30th November, 1873. The balance of profit for the past half-year is £26,179 17s 2d after provision made for all losses till date. Ten
par cent, dividend adopted. -
