PARLIAMENTARY.
ANOTHER DISTINGUISHED ARRIVAL,
THE "SMILER" PUTS IN AN
APPEARANCE,
(FROM OUR OWN IfEPORTER.)
WELLINGTON,
This day
The "Smiler" (T. L. Shepherd) came yesterday. He is more oleaginous than ever, He saw a cab with a lady in it when landing from the wharf. He hailed the cab, and departed towards Government Buildings tcle-a---iele. He wishes to be made Minister of Mines to take Haughton in hand; failing that, Minister of Justice. Ho considers having been trained as a bastard kind of lawyer's clerk he could represent Otago better than Bathgate.
