AMUSEMENTS.

PRINCE OB1 WALES THEATRE,

The Magnet Troupe of minstrels and star artists had an excellent reception last evening at this theatre. There was a very good house, and the character representations of the Foley Family were satisfactorily performed. The "boneless boy" again went through his wonderful contortions in a manner which amazed and gratified the audience. The entertainment, in its entirety, was highly applauded, and another distribution of prizes took place.

TITIRANOI AMATEURS,

The Whau Public Hall was fully attended last night The picturesque delineations of Irish life as described in " Handy Andy" were given in a very creditable manner by the associated amateurs of the Whau and Anckland. The ballads and recitations, save in one or two instances, gave satisfaction. A nigger sketch, " Les Miserables," a kind of burlesque on Victor Hugo's work of that name, was fairly rendered, and the whole wound up with dancing, which closed at a reasonable hour.

CALIFORNIAN MINSTRELS.

This well-known company of vocalists and musicians announce their first concert this evening at the City Hall. The programme promises a treat of no mean order. The first part will comprise an overture by the minstrels, a series of songs and ballads, comic and sentimental, to conclude with the " Bells." The second will embrace selections and a chorus, and the " Water-melon Man." Mr Eockefeller will also perform on the banjo, and Mr Sutton will appear in his favorite ong and dance, while Mr Herman will give a violin solo. The whole will conclude with the interesting dramatic piece, entitled " Kill Trovatore, or Scenes at the Gorge."
