SPLENDID STONE FROM THE WHAU. THE SONS OF FREEDOM CRUSHING. GRAHAMSTOWN. This day. The Whau is looking splendid in all parts of the mine. There were obtained this morning 2Solbs of rich picked stuff and a quantity of specimens. The Company have now 2^ tons of picked stuff, and 1^ cwt specimens on hand. If rain come on they will have an interim retorting on Saturday. The Sons of Freedom clean up to-morrow. The stuff is averaging an ounce the ton. The Central Italy got a fine show of gold to-day in the rise above the No. 3 level. The Alburna is sinking on Dixou's reef, and has a good general show.
