IMPORTS.
Per s.s. Go-Ahead, from Wangarmi : 40 head cattle, 200 sheep, order; 27 hides, Gittos ; 19 kegs butter, Combes and Daldy.
The cutter Vincent Las reported at the customs from Tauranga -with the following cargo 500 bushels -wheat, order, passengers 20 pigs. The p.s. Comerang, cleared late last evening at the customs for Poverty Bay, and Napier with a fuull general cargo. She was compelled to shut out nearly 40 tons. The schooner Sunbeam has cleared for Waipuwith the following cargo—2tons flour, 1 do salt, 6 mats su?ar, 8 pgs leather, 1 horse, and 3 passengers. The schooner Queen has reported at the Customs with 70 tons of coal. The schooner Merlin has also reported with 60 ton of coal.
The ,T.S.N. Co.'s s.s. Go-ahead, Captain McGillivray, arrived at Onehunga this day, at ten a.m. She left Wanganui at 3.30 p,;m. on the 20th, crossed the bar at 4.30 p.m., arriving here as above. Experienced strong N. W. winds to the Cape, from thence light S.W. winds with confused, sea throughout. She leaves for Taranaki, Wanganui, and Westport on Saturday at 10 a.m. Passengers : Misses Dunn (2), Mrs Daniels and family. Mr and Mrs Darran and family, Messrs Bridge, Haines, Chapman, Meads and Johnston.
The Board of Examiners will examine candidates in navigation and seamanship at the Harbour Board rooms on the following days : —In navigation on Tuesday 27th inst., and on seamanship on Wednesday 28th inst. at 10 o'clock a.m.
The s.s. Eangatira, expected from Napier is announced to leave again for Poverty Bay, Napier, and Wellington, on or about Saturday next.
The schooner Maggie Eobertsonhas cleared for Eussell in ballast, The schooner Alert has cleared for Lyttelton via Mercury Bay with 40,000 feet of timber.
