The s.s. Go-ahead left Wanpanui at eleven o'clock yesterday morning for the Manukau. The s.s. Southern Cross left Tauranga at ten o'clock this morning for Auckland. The barque Moss Glen took her departure for Falmouth this morning, with the cargo of guano, ex Robert, and finally ex Polar Star. The barque Alice Cameron is discharging her coal alongside the wharf. The schooner Strathnaver left yesterday for Kennedy's Bay to load timber for Dunedin, She had left on Saturday for Russell, but returned to harbour and her destination was changed.
The models for the new Mission schooner will be on view to-morrow at Capt Clayton's office, Insurance buildings. The judges' decision will also be given to-morrow. The schooner Kenilworth took her departure last evening for, Tongatabu. She took ten horses in addition to her cargo. The , schooner Cambria left t yesterday evening for Wangarei with a cargo of timber and sundries. . .. t The fine barque Ldchnagar, Captain Kelly, has returned to the Bay of Islands to re-stow her. cargo, the °ame having become shifted during the late severe gale. The barque left the bay on the 22nd inst., bound for New Bedford, but was overtaken by the gale when about 120 miles from land. The vessel was thrown on her beam ends,' and her safety imperilled. As ,Capt. Kelly was, however, about to order the masts to I be cut away, the wind ;lulled, and shei righted, but it was found that her cargo had: shifted. She has therefore returned to port; to re-stow. ~,-.,-.
Tenders are-required'by tire Auckland North Shore Steam Ferry Company for the building of a steam ferry-boat in accordance with the plans and specificatians to be seen at the office of Mr Heslop, engineer, Vulcanlane.
