Discovery of Silver Lead. ;.'.<
Plummer Still at Large.
DUNEDIN. Mr Kichard Seaward Cantrell, the, late member for Caversham in the General Assembly, died yesterday. A lode of silver lead has been discovered on the Garrick range ten inches thick. It has been traced a considerable distance. A practical miner has visited it and says that, it is the richest lode he ever saw. Up to this moment there has been no trace discovered of the escaped prisoner Plummer. Contradictory reports keep reaching the police of his whereabouts. One report says that he has been seen thirty miles away from 'Dunedin.
