COROMANDEL.

(FEOM O¥E OWN COBBESPONDENT.) ■ rr r Saturday, 5 p.m.

ItoYAi,Oi.K Gold "Mining Company on the Tokatea range struck good gold last night. Full particulars are not yet to hand. It is currently reported this afternoon, tiat a party which has for some time been prospecting in the neighbourhood of the Tiki has struck a reef four feet thick, which is supposed to be the main reef of the Tikirange, and that £10,000 have been offered the prospectors for their interest in it and refused. I have some reason for believing the report so far as the discovery of the reef is concerned. The Bismarck is still taking out good ipecimens. The Green Harp battery has not yet commenced work.

Weather very bad, with frequent heavy squalls, and the roads in every direction almost impassable. >: •//, " v ,X-. ■■<>
