THE MAILS.
Mails will close as under :— For Thames, this day, at 5.30 p.m., and to-morrow, at 11.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. Mails for the undermentioned places, per s.s. Hero, will close at this office, to-morrow, as under— For India, China, Mauritius, Mediterranean ports, and Continent of Europe, at 1 p.m. For Australian Colonies, at 2 p.m. For United Kingdom via Suez and Southampton (for letters specially so addressed), at 2 p.m. For United Kingdom via Marseilles and Brindisi, at 2.30 p.m. For money orders, registered letters, and newspapers, at 11 a.m. Late letters for Sydney and the United Kingdom via Suez, bearing a fee of 3d. and Gd., in addition to the postage, will be received till 2.30 p.m. For Tauranga, Napier, and the Southern Provinces, per s.s. Lord Ashley, on Saturday, 24th instant, at 1 p.m. Late letters and telegrams for transmission from Napier station will be received till 1.30 p.m.
