Mr and Mrs H. H. Telford (Riecarton) spent Labour week-end with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Gordon Harumond, Takamatua.
Mrs H. Bunny (Akaroa) and her daughter, Miss Olive Kingston, accompanied by Miss Nalda Bergen leave to-day for a month's holiday in the North Island. Part of the time will be spent in Kaiaia, North Auckland and later a visit will be paid to Napier
Archdeacon A. J. Petrie on behalf of St. Peter's church choir presented Miss Nalda Bergen with a fountain pen. Miss Bergen has been a member of the choir for several years.
Mr and Mrs Alan Brassington (Christchurch) visited Akaroa during the Labour week-end.
At the evening service at St. Peter's Church, Akaroa, on Sunday, Mr F. Armstrong, the vestry representative at the recent Synod meeting gave a short resume of the business transacted. Mr Geo. Bilson (Christchurch) visited Akaioa on Friday and was the guest of Mr and Mrs A. J. Read.
Sister Burnett, Akaroa Hospital, who met with an accident recently is still away on sick leave. During her absence Miss Marshall, Ranfurly, has been appointed to the staff.
Misses A. Heaton, H. Heaton, M. Heaton, M. Taylor, C. Inglis and Mr Taylor • (Christchurch) have been spending the Labour week-end with Mrs R. Stewart, Barrys Bay.
Mr and Mrs Pankhurst and family (Christchurch) have been the guests of Mrs W. G. Hajrvvard, Waiuni, during the holidays.
Mr M. Newton (Christchurch) spent the holidays with Mr A. W. G. Hayward, who is at present spending a short holiday with his parents, Mr and Mrs W. G Hayward, Wainui.
