DUVAUCHELLE PLUNKET SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING The 13th annual meeting of the Duvauchelle sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday. Visitors were present from Christchurch and Akaroa. Before the meeting the Christchurch members were entertained to lunch at the Crown Hotel and after the business was completed, Mrs Cecil Wood gave a very interesting talk on the work that is being done at the Karitane Hospital. The Election of officers was as follows :—President —Mrs C. E. Kay; Working vice-pre-sident—Mrs W. O'Brien; Vice-presi-dents —Lady Stewart, Mesdames J. E. Thacker, E. Hay, R. A. Mould, R. Stewai't, H. Thacker, C. Thacker, F. Wills, lan Menzies, Alan Menzies and M. Webb; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer—Mrs J. R. Haines; General committee—Mesdames P. Cunningham, Hunter, B. S. Kay, B. Waghorn, J. Haines, W. O'Brien, A. J. Cunningham, M. Dunn, ,T. Williams, D. Jenkins, S. ; J. Vogan, L. Giddens, K. McPhail, L. Craw. Mcßobie, C. Minifie, F. Lewthwaite and T. R. Mould. A vote of thanks was passed to the County Council for the use of a room in the Council chambers and to Mi Colin Stewart for auditing the books,
