Mr and Mrs G. Mottram are visiting Akaroa where they are guests of Mr Mottram's cousins, Mr and Mrs P. G. Riches (Benoit street).
Lady Stewart (Pigeon Bay) leaves for England at the end of April where she is going to visit her mother. Miss Mary Armstrong, eldest daughter of Mr F. G. Armstrong (Mt. Vernon, Akaroa) will accompany her on the trip. Lady Stewart expects to be absent from New Zealand for six months.
Miss Phyllis Narbey (Akaroa) has received word of her appointment as Sister in charge of the children's ward at the Hawera Hospital.
