Mrs L. S. Woodward and children (Christchurch) arc the guests of' Mrs W. J. Thompson, "The Gables,' Akaroa. Messrs W. W. Dymond and C Elam (Christchurch) visited Akaros during the week-end and were stayin gat the Bruce Hotel. Mi'sP. Munn and Miss Pearl Martii: (St. Albans, Christchurch), are holidaying in Akaroa and are staying at the Madeira Hotel. Mr and Mrs G. A. E. Le Lievre (Akaroa) are on holiday and are visiting Timaru. Miss Joyce Le Lievre (Akaroa) has returned from a holiday spent on the West Coast. Mr and Mrs lan Mcßean Stewart (Southland) are at present on a holiday visit to Akaroa and arc staying the<Bruce Hotel. Mr and Mrs T. Champion (ChristChurch), who have been the guests of Mrs Champion's mother, Mrs A. Rowberry (Okuti Valley) have returned home. Sir Bruce and Lady Stewart ("Strathmore,":- Pigeon Bay),- whc have been staying in Christchurch for the polo, have returned home. Miss Sanny Richardson (Wellington), a well-known New Zealanc ' artist, is visiting her cousin, Mrs J Cradock (Little River). Miss Elsie Fairweather (Kaituna) is the:.guest of Mr and Mrs «?. McQueen, Senr. (Little River). Mrs J. Rae (Little Rivet') has, returned home '• from a visit to hei brother, Mr R. Burgess (Lockton). Mr and Mrs j>Manhire (Governor's Bay), who have been the guests of Mrs Manhire's sister, Mrs C. Loadrigan. (Little River), have rettvrned 1 home; •; ■ Mrs MeColl'X-gt. Albans), who died in Christchurch yesterday will be remembered at Akaroa as MioS Crawford. She was Matron of the old Akaroa Hospital and first Matron at the present Hospital. She has many friends at Akaroa and paid a visit here last year. Miss Betty Boulton, who has been living in' Akaroa for the past three months, staying at the Bruce' Hotel) returned yesterday to her home at Sumner. i .
