G Naismith, P. G. Riches, F C Newton Gordon Kearney, Misses D. Leete anc E. Jacobson. Correspondence A letter was received from the Little River Institute, thanking Akaroa members for visiting Mrs Vanstone while in hospital. Miss I. Mahon wrote resigning from the Committee as she was unable to attend meetings. The resignation was accepted with regret. Mr G. McNamara, Postmaster General, wrote asking for support oi the Health Stamp Campaign, and it was decided that £1 worth be purchased and sold to members. The remits for the half-yearly meeting of the N.C. Federation were considered and the delegate instructed in regard to voting. Some discussion ensued re finances. It was reported that if the sales table were better supported by members the Institute funds would benefit considerably. After discussion it was decided that the President put the matter of finances before members at next meeting and ask for support of a proposition to hold a "bring-and-buy" afternoon at the December meeting . It was decided to have a purely social afternoon at next meeting with roll call "Household Hints," competitions, embroidered apron and best bloom.
