SUCCESSFUL DANCE

LITTLE RIVER FOOTBALL CLUB. In aid of funds for the Little River Football club a very successful dance was held in the Town Hall, Little River, on Thursday evening. Dance music was supplied by Mrs S. Birdling Mrs L. Radford, Miss Myrtle Webster, Miss. Winnie Stott, Messrs A. Radford, C. Steans, and P. Stapleton. Messrs R. Barclay and G. Rout were M's. C. Winners of Lucky ■ Spot waltzes were Miss Eileen Rae and M. Macpherson, Miss Lily Sparks and J. Reed. The mystery parcel was won by Mrs S. Barclay. Those present were: Mesdames L. Radford, A. Radford, S. Barclay, A. Dawber, A. Louden, C. Withers, S. Birdling (Kaituna), S. Macpherson, J. McQueen, B. Yanstone, A. Patten, G. Humphries; Misses Nellie Radford Jean Barclay, Nancy Barclay, Melva Webster, Myrtle Webster, Rita McQueen, Norma Brankin, Valmai Wright (Christchurch), Kath Brankin Pearl Vanstone, Mavis Vanstone, Lily Sparks, Una Sutherland, Doreen Hammond, Gladys Burnside (Kaituna) Rona Rae, Nancy Foley, Nancy Pidgeon, Alison Stanbury, Eileen Rae Peggy Pidgeon, Margaret Tahuhu, and Rowe Pidgeon. Mr and Mrs John Montgomery (Holmbrook) Fendalton, have been the guests of Sir Bruce and Lady Stewart (Strathmore), Pigeon Bay, for the week end. Miss N. Taylor (Christchurch) is the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs T. K. Taylor, Little River. Miss Valmai Wright, Christchurch, is visiting Mr and Mrs A. Dawber, Cooptown, Little River.
