DUVAUCHELLE PLUNKET SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING There was a very large attendance at the annual meeting of the Duvauchelle Plunket Society held yesterday, members from Pigeon Bay and Little Akaloa attended and several visitors from the Akaroa branch. Mrs P. Cunningham, president, was in the chair. The tenth annual report and bal-ance-sheet stated that a very successful Children's Ball had been held and generous help had been given by Pigeon Bay members. Thanks were passed to the Akaroa County Council for the use of the Council Chambers and to Mr C. Stewart for acting as Hon. auditor. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs G. Taylor for billeting the nurse and to Nurse Twentyman for her excellent year's work. The nurse visited Duvauchelle on the first and third Friday of each month. The year ended with a credit balance of £4 Is sd. Officers. 1 The following officers were elected: President, Mrs P. Cunningham; Vicepresident, Mrs G. Taylor; Hon. members, Lady Stewart, Mesdames E. Kay, J. Hunter, A. Goodwin, J. E. Thacker, G. Taylor, K. Macphail, A. J. Cunningham, W. O'Brien, E. L. Williams (Robinson's Bay), T. Stewart (Wainui), M. Dunn, D. P. Jenkins and N. Waghorn (Pigeon Bay); Executive Committee, Mesdames P. Cunningham W. O'Brien, J. E. Thacker, and T. R. Mould; Hon. Auditor, Mr C. Stewart.
