■CATTLE SECTION. In 'the 'Cattle section it was noticeable that local breeders are showing up prominently i'ni the purbered prize list compared with the past. In the milking Shorthorn classes F. W. Crockett carried off mast of the award's, in the l Jersey section J. E. V. Chapman wsis very su-ccesilful against the bsst '.Canterbury breeders, while C. Humm a rod''Son® were prominent in the Fries ian section' as 'they were at, the Christ church Show. J. R. White was very successful! ini the crc&3-bredi dairy section. Im the 'Shorthorn section J. E. Thacker participated' in the main awards 'against the we'll known Canterbury breeder, H. E. Chamberlain. •Ccmm'Sinicter B. Hall; was the chief exhibitor -in, the fat cattle classes and the racist successful, and hi© support of this 'seetiiloni was welcome. A.s 'Bianks Peninsula is such a noted fat cattle raising dhtrii'ct it is a pity more farmers do not enter amid make •a better display of the fine 1 stock raised! in t'be district. EIHEEIP SECTION. The sheep .section was well supported! and) there wais splendid competition in the cross-bred classes. Sir R. Heaton. Rhodes again was a. prominent exhibitor .and prize winner and his support cf the show is of great assistance. lie was successful in Eng lish L'eicesters, while S. S\ Barclay was prominent inj iSouthdiowns. In crossbred sheep S. .S. Barclay, Sir R. H. Rhodes and W. H'. Montgomery were the chfeif prize winners and in fat sheep IMrs Vesey Robinson, W. F. Parkinson, R. Donovan end W. H. Montgomery were prominent. HOIRISE 1 SECTION'. Peninsulai exhibitors were again numerous and successful in the light horse and pony .sections 1 . J. T. Robinson and W. F. Parkinson each won a number of classes in the draught section, I. Menzies's Pinocchio won; the new 'Hunters' 'Oup given by Messrs* Menziesißros'. and 1 Mr W. H. (Montgomery's Cuf). Cither prominent Peninsula exhibitors and) pirilze winners were T. Maseftel'di in military horse, co ! bs and poniles, Mrs M. K. flVTiacfarl/ane, M'iiss K. Kay, T. Warner and (Lady Stewairt..
