HOLIDAY FIXTURES.
BOXING DAY.
There are few Peninsula fixtures! for tbe holidays. Sports are being held at Little River today, and a cricket match is being played on the Duvauchelle ground between teamsjepresenting Akaroa and Duvauchelle. The Barry's Bay sports gathering, often held on Boxing Day, has been abandoned, and will be replaced by tbe Duvauchelle sports meeting on January Btb.
It is the usual custom for visitors and local people to spend the day pienicing, and no doubt if the weather is fine, all the launches in the harbour will be in rrqimition.
In tbe evening a special holiday programme of Hayward's Picturee will be shown at the Oddfellows' Hall, Akaroa.
