Mrs and Miss Mitobell have also promised their valuable servicer, as well as Mrs Ingram, Miss Brown, Messrs Taylor, Bchubert and Kiddey. The pupils are acting a very laughable farce. '"Goody Grim," and appear also in dialogues, choruses, eto. The Oommittee have deoided to raise tho price of the front seatß from 2a to 2b 6d, owing to several inoreased incidental expenees in connection with the concert.

Welcome to Mr Julius—A very success fal Booial was given in the Le Bon's Bay Hall on Thursday by the congregation of 8t Andrew's (Anglican) Church, to welcome the new Vioar of Akaroa, the Rev. A. H, Julius. There was a large attendance, Mr 0; Fredericksen in the chair, who, infelicitous terms, welcomed the guest of the evening. After the Rev. gentloman had replied, a mußical programme waa rendered by the following ladies and gentlemen -.—Mesdames Crotty, Oldridge and Julius, Miss Oldridge, Messrs White.B. Barker, Priest, F. Taylor and C. Schubert. Mr Fredericksen also gave some good records on a very fine phono graph. Refreshments, both tasteful and plentiful, were kindly supplied by the ladies. A party of eight ladies and gentlemen journeyed over from Akaroa to attend the Booial and were most hospitably entertained by the residents. _ J.
