The Bill was committed, read a third time and passed. The Hutt Railway and Road Improvement Bill was passed. November 20. The amendments made by the Council in the Juvenile Smokiug Suppressieu Bill were disagreed with. flfclo National Scholarships Bill was committed and put through its final stages The Hon. W. Hall Jones moved the second reading of the Public Wurkß Act 189., the arrangement being that the Bill Bhortld be Used as the medium for debatß on the Public Works Statement. November 21. The Public Works BUI was further con* sidered in Committee aud {assed. The House went into Committee of Sup* ply for further coneideration of the Supple • mentary Estimates.
