JOCK O'HAZELDEAN is a beautiful black horse, standing 16 2 hands high with exceedingly heavy bone and muscle and very superior action, and t» wonderful good temper. Jock O'Hazeldean was bred by Mr R. Dawson of West Eyreton He is got by the well-known horae Balmoral by Young Wallace, dam BIo?pom bred by Mr Balfour, of Oamaru, by Prince Royal grandame Nannie, imported from Victoria ; this mare was several timeß placed as a prize winner at Oamaru. Blossom, the dam of Balmoral, by the imported horse Sir William Wallace, one of the best horses ever imported into New Zealand, one of his get took second prize iv thp broodmare class at Oamaru in 1894, when 18 years of age, and was bought by Mr Reid, Of Bldersley, for 180 cuineas ; he is alto the grandsire nf Sir Wiiliam Wallace, and waa sold for £800 to go" to the North Island.
