JOCK O'HAZRLDEAN is a beautiful black horse, standing 16 2 hands high with exceedingly heavy bone and muscle and very superior action, and t» wonderful good temper. Jock O'Haz.ldean was bred by Mr f?. Dawson of West Eyreton He i. gob by the well-known horse Balmoral by Young Wallice, dam Blossom bred by Mr Balfour, of Oamaru, by Prince Royal grandame Nannie, imported from Victoria ; this mare was severßl times placed as a prize winner at Oamaru. Blosßom, the dam of Balmoral, by the imported horße Sir William Wallace, one of the best horses ever imported into New Zealand, one of his get took second prize in the brood mare class at Oamaru in 189 ~ when 18 years of age, and was bought by Mr Reid, of Eldersley, for 180 guineas ; he is alio the grandsire of Sir William Wallace, and was sold for £800 to go to the North Island.
