A toeeticgof the Commitie was held on at the Oi)urcil ChamberSj Duvauohelle'a. Present—Messrs Robinson (chairman), C. Litter, H. W. Piper, G Checkley. Reid, 8. Lelievre, Newlfgin, W. Wright, gt Hay, Jacobson, and Leete (Hon. Sec ) MINUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. DATD OF SHOW. rtffr Reid moved—That the Bhow be held on Tuesday, November 3rd. Seoonded by Mr W. Wright. Mr H. W. Piper moved &■» an amendment —That the Show be held on October 27th: This was seconded by Mr C. Latler anJ carried. COMMITTEE Mr A, A. McPhail's nami was added to the Committee. PRIZES The Hon. Sec. reported some £75 had been already promised, and the Committee prooeeded to allocate the prizes, which were fixed at exactly the same as last year. Prizes foc#gg and spoon race anl threading the needle race were fixed at 21e first and 10s 6d second prize, five entries or no second prize. Ib was resolved that all gigs be made up to the same width, or the barriers shifted, to secure equality in the driving competition. KEFBESHMINTS. Ifrwas resolved tenders be Invited for the right to sell refreshments on the ground and the Luncheon Committee reported they had made the same arrangements with Mr Bowes regarding the Coamitt «c lunch as laifc*year, viz., 2« 6d per head with a guarantee of forty. MISCELLANEOUS. A proposition from Mr C. Litter, that all lilt, I3at, and 15?t hacks should be turned into the Show Ring together, and that the judges should decide in what class each horse eheuld be placed was not carried. The Little River Band teleg-aphed, aoceptjpg offer of Committee to play on Show Day. The charge for post entries was fixed at 3s, ezoept for high jump which is fixed at ss, It was resolved entriee clnse on Tuesday, Oob#2oth. The meeting then adjourned to Oct. 7th.
