DUNEDI ' PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs A. Moritzson and Co., Dunedin report:— Cocksfoot—The market is dull, and there is very little doing. Quotations are nominal and range from 2|d to 3|d per lb. There was a moderate r-upply of fat sheep tl-e biilk of the yarding again being ewes, Tbere was keen competition for ewes, both on the part of exporters and butchers, and prices rose fully Is to Is 6d per head. Freez ing wethers were somewhat neglected, and barely maintained late rates, only a few pens of extra prime selling at all well. The range of prices was :—Prime heavy weight wethers 20s to 20s sd, prime freezing wethers 17s 6d to 19s lid, lighter 15s 6d to 17s, wethers and maiden ewes 16s 6d to 17s 7d, freezing ewes 13b to 16; 6d, best butchers' ewes 15s to 17a 3d, medium I3s to 14s 6d, others lis to 129 6d, prime merinos 13s 9d to 15s 3d. The supply of beef comprised 226 head, nearly nil being cows and heifers, a line of Btee-8 coming in late. The sale was irregu' lar. n consequence of the large numberß offered, but Uat week's rates were main' tamed for good sorts, which were scarce. A line of 7 very prime heifers, from Mr Thos. Chapm»n,'Mount Palm, rrade £9 17a 6d to £11, sreers brought £6 5. to £10 17s 6d, heifers £5 15s to £9 12a 6d, and cows £4 17s 61to £9 12a 6d, equal to 25s to 29a per 1001b. Veal calves made 5s to £2 sa, accord in 7 to size and quality. A small entry of store cattle met with a fair sale at the following rales :—Yearlings 32a 6d, fifteen to eighteenth months £3 7s to £3 17a 6d, two year steers £4 7s 6d\ two year heifers £4 7s 6d to £4 15s, three year steers £7 10a, dry cows £3 10s to £5 2a 6d. Dairy cowa were in good demand at £4 10s to £8 15?, and up to £10 15s for extra gcod. In pigs, bsconere made-41b 6d to 52, equal to 4_d ; porkers, 27a to 38?, equal to 5d per lb; small stores, 10s 6d to 15s, and suckers and weancn-, 7s to 10a.
