Th*-re wes a very small attendance at the annuil meet-m- h?ld last night. Mr Bruce was voted to tire chair, and read report and balance sheet rf t>e outgoing Committee, which will be published iv our next issue.

The Chairman spoke of the insufficienoy of the incidentaliunds. They had only £8 in hand and firewk od to get for the winter. The playgiound was wet in winter, but they were fillirg np the worst hoes. A new site and building should be agitated for, and the Inspector had advocated the same,

The Miyor m'.\ed the adoption of the re' port and a vote of thankß to the Committee, who had done tbeir work well. He regretted the temporary improvements, as they would be used as an argument against the immediate er -tion of new building?.

Seconded by Mr G. Armstrong, jr., and carried.

Messrs Bruce, Munro, Checkley, Chappel, Dodds, Kerridge and Sedgwick were elected the committee for the ensuing year.

At the subsequent committee meeting Mr Bruce was elected chairman.
