AKAROA SWIMMING CLUB.

A meeting of the Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Present—Messra Ormandy, McCullough, Wight, Reynolds, aud Miohell. ' The minutes of previous meeting Were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from C. L. Milne Esq. accepting position of President and enclosing a donation of £1 Is towards Club funds, and also cheque for £3 to be distributed in boys' races. The Secretary reported thab F. K. Hunt, Esq., had offered a trophy for a senior raoe. Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs C. L. Milne, H. C. Jacobson, F. K. Hunt, and B. Burland for their donations to Club. Mr. A. Porter was elected a life member of the Club, and Mr. F. McCullough handicapper vice Mr. Ormandy. The following races were arranged to take place at Baths on Friday, March 9th, at 6.15 p.m.:— Boys under 12 (Mr Milne's prize)—2syds, first prize 12a 6d, second 7s 6d, entrance 6d. Boys under 14 (Vlr Milne's prize) 50yds, first prize 12s 6d, second 7s 6d, entrance 6d. Boys under 16 (Mr Miloe'a prize)—soyds, first prize 12a 6d, second 7s 6d, entrance 6d. 100 Yards Handicap (Mr Hunt's trophy) entrance Iβ.
