Newton end Mr Orbell were appointed scrutineersi Mr Leete moved, and Mr Harrison seconded a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring Committee, which was carried unanimously and to which the Chairman, Mr McGregor, suitably replied, Mr Potts complained of a certain circular being issued, in which householders were asked to vote for the other retiring members of the Committep, excluding himself. This he considered unfair, as he had worked cordially with the Committee and taken a deep interest in educational matters. He was giving a resume of hfs personal action oo the Committee, when the Chairman stopped him, ruling that the matter had been treated in the Committee's report of which Committee he was a member. The Chairman also ruled Mr W.
