To the Editor Sir,—l should be much obliged if you, or some of your valued correspondents would inform me the origin and "meaning of this namg. The name of our harbour would appear tcbe " Whan* g , roa," according to native traditions, 'vide •' Tales of Banks T?eninßu!a," and it would be interesting to know how the present name wag evolved.
