Christchurch, Sept. 10. A sitting of the Representative Commission for the South Island will be held in Christchurch on JMondry next, lor the purpose of hearing objections to the alteration in the boundaries of the electoral district. Three objections have been lodged, one by Mr iirioe to the change in the boundaries of the Wairau District ; another made with the object of having Eyreton included in the Kaiapoi electorate, and another made by the Lin wood Borough Council against the addition of a portion of Lin wood to Christchurch city. London, Sept. .9. Mr John Redmond declares that the Dublin Convention is the most useful for Ireland since the gatherings convened by Mr Parnell. The correspondent of the Standard states that MA Kapnist, Russian Ambassador in Vienna, is likely to succeed I'rince Lobanoff. The imports last month decreased by £2,114,770. Mr Redmond denies that the Irish in Australia and America have any right to dictate the policy and conduct of Irish members in the Imperial Parliament. The delegates from Australia at the conference were unknown, and he denied that they were genuine representatives of the colonies. Catro, Sept. 9.
