THE NEW ELLESMERE ELECTORATE.
The following is the description of our new electorate in the Gazette of August 12th :— Ellesmere comprises the whole of Akaroa County, less that portion of Port Victoria Road District lying to the west of Gebbie's Pass road leading from tbe Head of the Bay to the road •district boundary, and Lyttelton harbor ; hat portion of Halswell Road District south of the road bounding' section 30503, and continuing northerly, passing sections 17736, 17491. 33746, 6360, to about a mile from the Balswell Road ! Board office and south of the Hoon Hay road to the Halswell river ; also that j portion of Lincoln Road District lying, past of the Southbridge railway passing the school at Lincoln, then south of Halswoll road, east ot the road forming i the eastern boundary of section 5322,' south, of the road forming the southern boundary of section 4980, and east of the Tramway road to the bridge over the Halswell river ; that portion of Springs Road District ot Selwyn County in the existing Kllesmere Electoral District ; that portion of Ellesmere Riding ot Selwyn County situated south of the Rakiia and Irwell rtvid, Selwyn and Bt»aley road, an ] the Drain road, passing Killinchy and the Southbridge railwayline ; together with the Tai l'apu Road Distiicfc of Selwyn County, and the Borough of Akaroa, and Southbridge Town District.
