GERMAN BAY SCHOOL.

A special meeting of the Gf>rnnn Buy School Committee was held on July 13th. Present—Messrs W. Pidgem (Clnirrrsari), F. .T. W. rrjrry K. Lei?* , ?™ an 1 A Rtru-Vell. The meeting was called to accept for cleaning Main and Side schools. There were three tenders for. Main school, K. Brittan £11, M. Pidgeon £11 and P. Hammond £9 103. The Committee thought that Miss F. Hammond's tender was rather low for the job, also that she was not competent to do the work. There were two tenders for cleaning Side school, Mrs H. McGbe £9 10s, C. Lelievre £9 10?. After Rome discussion it was proposed by Mr Carry and seconded by Mr Lelievro, That the tender of Mi Pigeon be accepted for Main school, and that of Mrs McG-e for the Side school. Mr Hart proposed as an amendment That the tenders of K. Brit tan and M. Pidgeon toe for as they were eqaal. Seconded by Mr Pidgeon. The amendment was then put, the proposer and seconder voting for the amendment, and Messrs Carry., Lelievre and Stmckell voting against The Chairman declared the proposition carried, It w»s stated the Side-school range waeoofc of repair. It was decided that the Chairman write and ask Board to supply one. The Chairman stated a email shed was required for firewood for Main school.
