PIGEON BAY QUOIT CLUB.

A meeting of thi'* C'nb wm held on the evening of May 27'b. There were eleven members present, nnd Mr R D. Kelly way voted t > the chair. The Treasurer, Mr R. D. Kelly, repoited that he had received as a gift t) the Club funds the sum of 18s, being the uVt and second prists won by Messrs McKay and Pet'igrew at tho New Year's sport*. A hearty vi ti of thanks was passed to tbofe gpot'emen for their gift. Mr Kelly proposed and Mr Brodio seconded—'That 6d be charged as an entrance fee (o the tournament." (Carried.) The Treasurer was authorised ti pay tbe bill for tho dinner provided on 27th May. A heatty vote of thanks was pissed to the fiim of Recce and Sons for their present of a very handsome fiet of carvers. Competitors in the-tournament drew for par'ners for the second round, after which a vote of thanks ti the chair terminated the meeting
