From Mr Nutt. quoting description of land sold by him at Little -Riven It was resolved that the alteration be made when the rate roll is being; Tevised. §pvrtal circulars te poisoned grain were read. Mr T. Cooney waited, on the Board, requesting tbat compensation may'he allowed in lieu of a house turned while occupied I>y the Board's workmen. -It was resolved that legal advice bo dbtained as to'the Board's liability in this matter.' On the motion of Mr Montgomery it was decided that the necessary improvements on the roads at Gebbie's Valley be done, and completed while the men are camped in that locality. It was also resolved that the various stoney points along the Main road be improved as soon as possible, as much complaint is made on the subject. It was "resolved fhat'tendersbe invited toiquarry and break about 200 yds metal at Stony Point near Price's Valley. Mr White reported having seen the Clerk to the Akafroa anfcl Wainui Road Board re the future maintenance of the boundary road at Terawera saw mill, who would bring the matter before his Board and report results. After transacting some routine business and passing accounts for-payment, the Board adjourned.
