VVBLLisfaTON, August Ist.
The Financial Debate will be resumed to-morrow afternoon, and will net be finished before Wednesday night. A deputation from Kaituna' waited upon thejMinister of Lands to-day, and asked that some steps should be taken to drain the lake lands of water of those settlers who bought certain sections from the late Government, under conditions that some of their purchase money for the lan Is should be spent in a proper drainage system. The Minister promised to consider the whole question, and if possible, to give the relief asked for. There are 22 questions, 28 motions, and 64 bills on the order paper, and so soon as the Fuancial Debate has completed its long and weary journey, both Houses will commence their practical work, and continue thereat until the prorogation, which will not eventuate before the 30th September.
